About Us
My heart has always been with families facing challenges that often go unseen. Last year, I began noticing more layoffs, rising costs, and parents struggling to keep the lights on, put fuel in their vehicles, and provide for their children. I knew I couldn't solve every problem, but I could do something. That is why I created Bright Focus Initiative 804.
I believe no family should have to choose between paying an electric bill, getting to work, or meeting their child's basic needs. Through utility assistance, fuel assistance, financial education, and community partnerships, our mission is to remove barriers that stand in the way of stability and opportunity.
This work is deeply personal to me. I understand what it feels like to navigate uncertainty, and I know how one helping hand at the right time can change someone's future. Every program we create is rooted in dignity, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to move forward with hope. Our goal is simple: to help families become more stable today while building a stronger tomorrow.

Growing up, many of us learn how to smile through pain, carry responsibilities too heavy for our age, and push past hurt we never had the tools to name. That early trauma often follows us into adulthood, shaping how we see ourselves, how we trust others, and how we show up in the world. For me, that understanding didn’t come just from training—it came from lived experience and watching the children around me shoulder emotional weight they never asked for.
I founded the Bright Focus Initiative because no child should start their day hungry, overwhelmed, or dimmed by burdens at home. When basic needs aren’t met—whether it’s nourishment, emotional grounding, or the security of a powered and heated home—it becomes nearly impossible for a child to thrive. My mission is to interrupt that cycle early by creating caring, stigma-free support systems that meet families exactly where they are.
As a certified Mental Health First Aid and QPR professional, I’ve dedicated my work to helping people feel seen and supported. Through the Bright Focus Initiative, I lead a "whole-home" approach to wellness. This includes:
Direct Crisis Support: Managing essential utility relief to ensure households remain stable and safe for developing children.
School & Community Partnerships: Building wellness-centered routines within childcare centers to boost student readiness and confidence.
Advocacy & Training: Leveraging my background in training and development to bridge the gap between mental health resources and the families who need them most.
Because when we strengthen a child’s morning and stabilize their home, we strengthen their future. When we remove the weight of survival and help them feel safe enough to focus, they finally begin to believe in what’s possible.
